Know All Your Stylist’s Services

Have you ever been sitting in your stylist chair, waiting for her to get to a certain service, only to have them say, “Oh no! I didn’t know you wanted that, too!” You may find out that your stylist doesn’t have time in their schedule to finish what you expected them to do—and even if they do, it may end up costing way more than you expected.

With Ring My Stylist, your worries are over. Our app provides all your stylist’s services, as entered by the stylist, and allows you to select only the ones you want. The app then tells you the time it will take to complete all the services you’ve selected for the appointment. When your stylist clicks “Confirm,” it fills in that amount of time in the schedule. They’ll know exactly what you want, and how long it should take to do it all.

At the same time, you won’t have to worry about hidden costs. The app also lists how much the stylist charges for each of the services you’ve chosen and the app will provide a total at the bottom of the page. So no surprises there, either!

Avoid Forgetting Appointments to the Stylist

The words any hair stylist hates most are, “Oops, I forgot!” The same is true for any business that depends on appointments. Emergencies happen; that may be annoying, but understandable. Cancellations are okay because your stylist can usually fill a cancellation. But confirmed appointments you miss means lost money for them, and unnecessary irritation… unless they do what some service providers have begun to do, and charge you for your missed appointment anyway. Otherwise, they may kick you from their client list if you do it more than once.

This is exactly the kind of situation we designed the Ring My Stylist app to avoid. At the time you schedule your appointment, you’re offered the option to set reminders. It’s very simple. You can choose to receive reminders 1, 3, 5, and 10 days before your appointment—or all of the above. We recommend you at least select the 1- and 3-day options.

You’ll receive “push” notifications for each reminder you choose. Not only will you see the notification on your cell phone through Ring My Stylist, but you’ll also get an email notice complete with all your appointment details. We recommend you make sure those notices don’t go to your spam folder. Even if you miss those, if you don’t respond, Ring My Stylist will send you an SMS text message to remind you of your appointment.

What Is the Health of My Hair

One of the great benefits of our Ring My Stylist app is that you and your stylist can easily note and keep track of your hair’s health over time. All you have to do to check it is making a few quick clicks. Your hair’s health is important because it can determine which treatments you should get, which you should avoid, and how you and your stylist can work together to improve your hair’s health.

To start out, all you have to do is ask your stylist to download and open the Ring My Stylist mobile app and select the Initial Consultation tab. With each visit after that, they can update the condition of your hair, tracking how it responds to treatment. No longer do you have to make do with a “One Size Fits All” approach. One size never fits all!

In the initial Consultation tab, your stylist can note a variety of hair characteristics: its current condition, its natural porosity, and texture, whether they can use heat on it, your scalp condition, your hair’s history of various treatments (including color) and lots more. Your hair and scalp condition will then be scored on a scale of 1-10 to provide a baseline.

This will help the stylist suggest specific products and how you should use them to improve your hair and scalp conditions. Remember, healthy hair is beautiful hair!

Stylist Visits and Service History
